East Gippsland Seniors Festival
The East Gippsland Seniors Festival Booklet has over 50 events and activities across East Gippsland during the month of October.
Seniors can visit art exhibitions, enrol in courses, enjoy live entertainment, attend ‘come & try days’, participate in social gatherings, luncheons, morning teas, dinners, attend health & wellness activities, listen to interesting presentations and access some great information sessions relevant to healthy ageing.

Monday 3rd July: Remember the 1950’s
Living in the 1950’s. Join Lorraine Scott for an illustrated history lecture and film. The 1950’s was an important time in attracting immigrants to Australia. The film introduces “the Australian way of life” by portraying the daily lives of an ‘ordinary’ family of recent British immigrants. Morning tea included.

Tuesday 4th July: Fly Tying Demonstration and Morning Tea
The fly-tying group will be demonstrating their techniques in the community room. Join them for morning tea and a chat. 10am to 11.30am in the Community Room.
Wednesday 5th July: Celebrating 90
Join us for an old-fashion lunch the way it used to be when everyone brought along a dish. It will also be a time to celebrate past and present members who have joined the Nonagenarians Club.
11am to 2pm in the Community Room. Please put your name on the list if you can attend.
Friday 7th July: Armchair Aerobics
Why not experience the value of armchair aerobics and discuss the importance of being active, both
mentally and physically.
